Saint Margaret Festival

In 2025, the Saint Margaret Festival in Pettorano sul Gizio was held on Saturday, July 12th and Sunday, July 13th. The festivities in honor of the patron saint, organized by the Parish and the municipal administration, combined religious rites with the Crustola Festival, in both its sweet and savory versions.

On Saturday, July 12th, the evening was enlivened by a musical orchestra at 9:30 PM in Piazza Umberto I. On Sunday, July 13th, the day of the patron saint, after the solemn mass and the characteristic procession through the village streets, the stage in Piazza Umberto I hosted the concert of the Yardbirds, a historic band from Sulmona, at 9:30 PM. The morning hike to the Saint Margaret valley, the weaving of boxwood palms, and the typical gastronomy of the Peligna Valley were also highlights of the event.
