Edition 2025 — Saint Lucy of Belpasso
2025 Edition
The 2025 Saint Lucy Feast in Belpasso confirmed the strength of a centuries-old tradition. The allegorical float evenings illuminated Piazza Duomo and Piazza Umberto, while on December 13, the solemnity featured the unveiling of the simulacrum, the city procession, and the Homage to the Fallen, attended by Belpasso native Andrea Adorno, Gold Medal for Military Valor.
On December 14, the pontifical mass at the Mother Church, presided over by the Archbishop of Catania Luigi Renna, inaugurated the first "Saint Lucy Solidarity Lunch" at the Church of Saint Anthony of Padua, organized by the City Committee with the Panis Association and municipal social services. The edition also saw a digital debut with the "Via Lucis" podcast. The Octave of the feast, on December 20, closed the festivities with moments dedicated to children in Piazza Duomo.
