Edition 2025 — Saint Lucy in Aci Catena

On December 13, 2025, Aci Catena renewed its Saint Lucy festival, with the preparation novena starting December 1st, the vigil procession on December 12th with the reliquary arm and the "Lucie", and on the day of the festival, the exit of the statue at 4:00 PM from the Church of Saint Lucy, amidst fireworks and the ringing of bells, followed by the solemn procession through the streets of the center.

Saint Lucy 2025 in Aci Catena

The 2025 edition of the festival took place according to the established tradition. After the opening on December 1st with the cunsulatu and the novena, on the evening of December 12th, the suggestive vigil procession carried the reliquary arm through the streets of Aci Catena, accompanied by the faithful in votive habits and young girls dressed as "Lucie" with lit lamps.

On December 13th, at 4:00 PM, the statue solemnly exited the Church of Saint Lucy, welcomed on the churchyard amidst the release of balloons, the firing of fireworks, and the ringing of bells, before the solemn procession that concluded late in the evening with the return to the chapel.
