Saint Lucy Festival (The Vampata)

The 2025 edition of the Saint Lucy Festival took place in San Cono on December 13, 2025, renewing the tradition of the vampata in Piazza Umberto I.

In the afternoon, Holy Mass was celebrated in honor of the Saint, followed by the display and translation of the statue of Saint Lucy into the square, accompanied by the marching band. In the evening, citizens lit the great bonfire with wood collected during the day, distributing to guests the cuccìa, made of boiled wheat, and the uccioli, the bread shaped like the Saint's eyes. The evening was enlivened by music, fritters, and mulled wine, confirming the community's strong bond with this tradition.
