Saint Lucy Festival 2025 in Erchie

The 2025 edition of the perdonanza, celebrated on April 30 and May 1, was one of the most attended in recent years. On Wednesday, April 30, at 5:30 PM, the sacred relics of Saint Lucy arrived from Syracuse and were welcomed at Largo Calvario, with the presence of ecclesiastical authorities from the Archdiocese of Syracuse and the Deputation of the Chapel of Saint Lucy. At 7:00 PM, the Mass was presided over by the Archbishop of Syracuse, Monsignor Francesco Lomanto, while at 9:00 PM, in Piazza Umberto I, the highly anticipated free concert by Fausto Leali took place.

On Thursday, May 1, the day of the festival, Masses were celebrated at the Sanctuary at 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM, and 11:00 AM, while at 6:00 PM, in Piazza Umberto I, the solemn pontifical Mass was presided over by the Bishop of Oria, Monsignor Vincenzo Pisanello, followed by the procession with the statues and the traditional fireworks.
