Edition 2025 — Saint Lucy Festival
2025 Saint Lucy Festival in Valguarnera Caropepe
The 2025 edition took place on December 12th and 13th in Valguarnera Caropepe, in the province of Enna. Friday, December 12th, at 6:00 PM, in Piazza Francesco Lanza, the Pro Loco Terre di Carrapipi organized a community dinner featuring the classic cuccìa seasoned with oil and ricotta, accompanied by a photography exhibition set up at the Pro Loco headquarters.
At 7:30 PM, the lighting and procession of the bonfires took place: the pagliolo, the five-meter-high straw structure, and the burgie illuminated the town's squares and neighborhoods. Saturday, December 13th, at 7:30 PM, the procession with the statue of Saint Lucy, patron saint of the blind, took place, accompanied by the local brass band and the painting depicting the Saint.
