Saint Louis IX Feast 2025
The 2025 Saint Louis IX Patronal Feast offered a rich weekend in Fenestrelle. On Friday, August 22nd, at 9 PM, the former bocce court arena hosted a concert by the J37 Band, a Turin-based nu-funk and electronic quintet. On Saturday, August 23rd, the 1600-1700 Historical Re-enactment Coordination recreated the atmosphere and preparations of the days leading up to the August 1708 siege. In the afternoon, at 3:30 PM, a parade set off from Piazza Cappuccina along Via Umberto I, Piazza della Fiera, and Via Roma to the sports field, where at 4 PM the Bal da Sabre and a women's group in traditional costume performed. The festivities culminated on Monday, August 25th, Saint Louis IX Day, with a solemn mass in the parish church dedicated to the patron saint.
