Edition 2025 — Saint Joseph Festival

In 2025, San Biagio Platani once again celebrated the Saint Joseph Festival on March 19th, featuring the rite of the Three Saints who portray Jesus, Joseph, and Mary in search of hospitality. Following Holy Mass and the community lunch, the afternoon saw the procession of the Saint's statue through the streets of the Agrigento village, ending with the traditional delivery of the cannistra.

The 2025 edition of the Saint Joseph Festival in San Biagio Platani, in the province of Agrigento, was held on March 19th in the spirit of tradition. The Three Saints, played by local residents, reenacted the Holy Family's search for hospitality, subsequently attending Holy Mass and the communal lunch. In the afternoon, the procession of the Saint Joseph statue moved through the center, concluding with the delivery of the cannistra, the wooden constructions decorated with flowers, fruit, and offerings. A day that confirmed the strong bond of the local community with this ancient Sicilian popular devotion.
