Saint Joseph Festival

In March 2025, the Saint Joseph Festival in Ribera, in the province of Agrigento, once again proposed its rich calendar of popular and religious rites. The community gathered around the stràula, the laurel tower carried in procession during the laurel festival, and around the votive altars set up in the homes of devotees. The traditional Saint Joseph soup made of fennel and fava beans was also distributed through the streets of the town, while on the evening of March 19th, the procession of the statue and the fireworks closed the festivities, confirming the vitality of a tradition passed down through generations.
