Edition 2025 — Saint Joseph Randazzo
The 2025 edition of the Saint Joseph Festival took place in Randazzo (CT) on March 19th, on the day dedicated to the town's patron saint. The community renewed its devotion to the saint with liturgical celebrations and, in the afternoon, with the traditional torchlight procession that crossed the historic center to San Pietro hill, where the lava stone statue sculpted by Gaetano Arrigo stands, facing Mount Etna.
The event maintained its dual significance: a religious feast for the patron saint and a thanksgiving ceremony for the averted danger of 1981, when the lava stopped just meters from the town. There was no shortage of traditional rice fritters with honey and cinnamon, the iconic sweet of the day, and moments of gathering for the Randazzo community.
