Edition 2025 — Saint Joseph Festival

In 2025, the solemn feast of Saint Joseph in Bagheria was exceptionally moved from March 19th to September 26-29, in anticipation of the city's bicentennial in 2026. Four days rich in tradition, entertainment, and culture, featuring a procession, concerts, sports competitions, and an agri-food expo along Corso Umberto I.

The extraordinary bicentennial edition

In 2025, the Municipality of Bagheria chose to move the solemn feast of Saint Joseph from March to the end of September, from September 26th to 29th, to benefit from a milder climate and allow emigrants to return, in an edition linked to the city's bicentennial.

The program combined religious and civil moments: the opening of the agri-food expo on Corso Umberto I, the City of Bagheria Prize (a singing competition with maestro Beppe Vessicchio on the jury in Piazza Madrice), sports competitions organized by the Rotary Club, the "Saint Joseph the Worker" awards at Villa Cattolica, and the cycling race on Mount Catalfano. On Sunday, September 28th, the solemn mass and procession were followed by a concert by Michele Zarrillo, while on September 29th, the parade of Sicilian carts, the show by storyteller Salvo Piparo, the concert by the band SIRAH, and fireworks closed the festival.
