Edition 2025 — Saint Joseph Nicolosi

In 2025, the Saint Joseph Festival in Nicolosi was also celebrated on March 18th and 19th, confirming the traditional calendar. The Etnean community gathered around the cult of the Patriarch with the distribution of chickpea soup, processions of the statue through the streets of the center, and the charity auction of collected gifts, a solidarity moment whose proceeds fund the festival.

The 2025 edition of the Saint Joseph Festival in Nicolosi (province of Catania, Sicily) followed the custom of March 18th and 19th. That year, the morning of March 18th was dedicated to the distribution of the traditional chickpea soup, prepared by the committee volunteers and the women of the town. The statue of the Saint was carried in procession through the streets of the village, while the festivities concluded with the traditional auction of gifts offered to the Saint, an expression of devotion and solidarity typical of Etnean popular religiosity.
