Saint Joseph Festival (Long Live the Father of Providence)

The 2025 edition of the Saint Joseph Festival followed the traditional calendar of March 18th and 19th in the province of Palermo. On the evening of March 18th, the districts of Roccapalumba lit up with bonfires, the large propitiatory fires, while children carried torches, the long ampelodesmos stalks, during the nocturnal procession of the statue of Saint Joseph with the Child.

On March 19th, the characters of the Holy Family paraded through the historic center to the main tavulata. The tavulate, set up in the homes of devotees with votive bread, sweets, and meatless dishes, were offered to the needy, renewing the gesture of charity that has identified the community of Roccapalumba and the hamlet of Regalgioffoli for centuries.
