The Community Festival of Arzergrande, with food and a desire to be together
The Saint Joseph Festival in Arzergrande, a municipality in the Saccisica area of the Padua province, is also known as the Community Festival: a name chosen deliberately, as Saint Joseph is not the patron saint of the town. The event takes place at the San Giuseppe Parish Centre, on Via Roma, and is organized by the parish led by Father Saverio Turato.
The festival revives the ancient tradition of the Saint Joseph fair, which once attracted visitors from nearby towns like Piove di Sacco to Arzergrande: taking advantage of the spring weather, people would go to the countryside and make purchases. Today, that spirit lives on in the festival evenings, enlivened by a rich entertainment program and a food stall featuring local culinary specialties.
The food stall opens every evening from 7:00 PM with typical regional dishes, while adults, catechism children, and young people from the community participate in the preparation and management of the festival. "We bring the desire to be together to the table," is the organizers' motto: the Saint Joseph Festival is above all an opportunity to strengthen the bonds of the Arzergrande community, in the heart of the Veneto plain.
The 2026 edition of the Saint Joseph Festival in Arzergrande runs from May 1st to 10th, spread over two weekends: May 1-3 and May 8-10. At the San Giuseppe Parish Centre, on Via Roma, the food stall opens every evening from 7:00 PM with typical regional dishes, accompanied by live music and a rich entertainment program. The festival, organized by the parish led by Father Saverio Turato, confirms its spirit as a Community Festival.
