Edition 2025 — Saint Joseph Fiumefreddo

In 2025, Fiumefreddo di Sicilia once again celebrated its patron saint, Saint Joseph, on March 19th. The Maria SS. del Rosario parish hosted the festivities with a triduum, solemn masses, the statue procession, and the traditional Tavolata di San Giuseppe. In the days surrounding the festival, from March 18th to 25th, a fair with markets and craft stalls was also held in the town center.

The 2025 edition of the Saint Joseph Festival in Fiumefreddo di Sicilia (province of Catania) took place on March 19th, following a tradition unbroken since 1801. Organized by the Maria SS. del Rosario parish, the festival brought the community together around its patron saint with a preparatory triduum, solemn masses, the blessing of the bread, and the afternoon procession of the statue through the town streets.

As every year, the Tavolata di San Giuseppe—with its votive breads and shared dishes—represented the most characteristic moment, an expression of Sicilian popular religiosity and solidarity. Around the festival, from March 18th to 25th, a fair with markets and stalls animated the center, accompanied by the traditional flavors of March 19th.
