Edition 2025 — Saint Joseph and Holy Family

In 2025, the Saint Joseph and Holy Family Festival took place on Monday, April 21, Easter Monday, renewing the tradition active in Carlentini since 1842. The community gathered around the living Holy Family, the historical pageant in costume, and the charity auction for those in need, in one of the most identity-defining events of Eastern Sicily.

The 2025 edition of the Saint Joseph and Holy Family Festival in Carlentini (SR) was celebrated on Monday, April 21, on the occasion of Easter Monday. As per ancient custom, the day alternated liturgical moments in the Mother Church and the Carmine Church with the evocative historical pageant, featuring about sixty participants in late 19th-century costumes, Sicilian carts, farm animals, and products of the Leontine land offered as the living Holy Family passed by. The afternoon was dedicated to the charity auction, with proceeds going to support the needy, confirming the charitable face of a festival that weaves together faith, folklore, and rural identity.
