The 2025 patronal festival
The 2025 edition of the Saint John the Baptist Patronal Festival in Spigno Saturnia was spread over several days: a preview on Saturday, June 14th and the central days of Monday, June 23rd and Tuesday, June 24th, as per the program published by the Municipality of Spigno Saturnia.
The most solemn moment was Tuesday, June 24th, 2025, when the Archbishop of Gaeta, Monsignor Luigi Vari, presided over the Eucharistic celebration at 6:00 PM in the Church of Saint John the Baptist in Piazza Dante Alighieri, on the day of the Nativity of the Baptist. The religious celebrations were accompanied by the traditional moments of the Spigno festival: the procession, music in the square, local folklore, and the flavors of the zeppola spignese, in a festive atmosphere that involved the entire community of the Aurunca village in the province of Latina.
