Edition 2025 — Saint John the Baptist

The 2025 edition of the Saint John the Baptist Patronal Festival took place on Friday, August 29th, in Acquafondata, in the heart of the Meta Mountains in the province of Frosinone. The Ciociaria village celebrated its patron saint with solemn masses and the traditional procession of the saint's wooden statue through the streets of the historic center, accompanied by a brass band, with the participation of the faithful and locals who returned to the village for the occasion.

The 2025 Saint John the Baptist Patronal Festival was held on Friday, August 29th, in Acquafondata, in the province of Frosinone. On the day of the saint's beheading, the community of the mountain village renewed its secular devotion with solemn masses in the archpriest church and the procession of the ancient wooden statue through the streets of the village, accompanied by a brass band. The religious moments were followed by traditional convivial appointments, with music and food stalls dedicated to typical Ciociaria dishes, in a festive atmosphere that brings together residents and emigrants in the heart of the Meta Mountains every late August.
