Edition 2025 — Saint John the Baptist

In 2025, Villafranca in Lunigiana once again celebrated its patron saint, Saint John the Baptist, with the usual week of festivities in the historic center. The town squares hosted the "Il Menhir" nocturnal painting competition, local association performances, shows, and the marching band, culminating in the June 24th procession and the Saint John Fair, with the inevitable focaccette serving as the common thread of every evening.

The 2025 edition of the Saint John the Baptist Festival confirmed the tradition of the patronal feast of Villafranca in Lunigiana (Massa-Carrara), organized by the SS. Giovanni e Nicolò Parish together with the Pro Loco Villafranchese 2011, the VAB, and the municipal administration.

The historic center squares hosted the "Il Menhir" painting competition, performances by gyms and dance schools, stilt-walker shows, and the religious moments of the festival, with the solemn Mass and the procession on June 24th. Closing the festivities were the Saint John Fair and the gastronomic village with focaccette.
