Edition 2025 — Saint John the Baptist Ovada

In 2025, Ovada once again celebrated its patron saint, John the Baptist, with the traditional June 24th procession, accompanied by the Cassa del Maragliano through the streets of the historic center. The eve featured the lighting of the bonfire in Piazza Assunta and a series of cultural events and concerts organized by the Confraternity of the "reds".

The 2025 edition of the Saint John the Baptist Celebrations confirmed the strength of a centuries-old tradition. On June 24th, the procession crossed the historic center of Ovada with the historic Cassa del Maragliano, carried on the shoulders of the confreres in red capes along with the ancient processional crucifixes.

As is customary, the feast was preceded by the great eve bonfire in Piazza Assunta and accompanied by moments of music and cultural reflection promoted by the Venerable Confraternity of the Most Holy Trinity and Saint John the Baptist, testifying to the deep bond between the Ovada community and its patron saint.
