Edition 2025 — Saint John Chrysostom — Giuliano

Also in 2025, on January 27th, Giuliano di Lecce celebrated its patron Saint John Chrysostom. The hamlet of Castrignano del Capo renewed the tradition with the procession of the saint's statue through the village streets, the religious program in the mother church, and the civil festival with a band, illuminations, and fireworks to close the day.

The 2025 edition of the Saint John Chrysostom festival was held in Giuliano di Lecce on Monday, January 27, 2025. The community of the Capo di Leuca village gathered around the 16th-century mother church for liturgies in honor of the patron, followed by the traditional procession of the statue along the streets of the historic center.

As every year, the civil festival accompanied the religious one: illuminations lit up the village, the brass band enlivened the streets, and the evening closed with fireworks, in a climate of authentic Salento popular devotion.
