Edition 2025 — Saint John Bosco Festival
The 28th edition of the Saint John Bosco Festival, promoted by the S.I.N.G. Oratory of Oria, confirmed the event's vocation to combine Salesian spirituality, a culture of legality, and attention to youth. Among the most applauded guests was the maestro Beppe Carletti, historic founder of the Nomadi group, invited to testify to the value of music as a tool for community and memory.
The "Donato Carbone" National Award — established in 2002 in memory of the young man from Oria who was a victim of a robbery — was awarded, among others, to Gildo Claps, brother of Elisa and founder of the "Penelope" association, who has always been committed to the search for truth and justice. The "Melania Russo" Educator Award went to Father Cosimo Schena and Father Roberto Berruti. An intense evening that renewed the bond between the City of the Imperials and the themes of anti-mafia and civic commitment.
