Edition 2025 — Saint Giovanni Leonardi Feast

In October 2025, the Torre Maura parish celebrated its patron saint with an intense week of events around the October 9th solemnity: novena, solemn Masses, and an evening procession through the neighborhood streets. The festivities then extended until the end of the month, with a Sicilian lunch organized by the Saint Giovanni Leonardi Association on Sunday, October 26th, at 12:30 PM in the rectory.

The 2025 edition in Torre Maura

The Saint Giovanni Leonardi Patronal Feast of 2025 took place according to the usual calendar, with the center of the celebration on October 9th, the liturgical memorial of the Lucchese saint who died in Rome in 1609. The parish on Via della Cicogna, in the neighborhood of Torre Maura (Rome, Lazio), offered an intense week of celebrations, preceded by the preparatory novena.

During the same period, the Basilica of Santa Maria in Portico in Campitelli, where the saint's remains rest, hosted the First Vespers of the solemnity presided over by Archbishop Davide Carbonaro O.M.D., in the presence of the Father General of the Order of the Mother of God: a bond that every year unites the two Roman communities dedicated to Saint Giovanni Leonardi.

In Torre Maura, the festival closed with the traditional social moment: the Sicilian lunch of the Saint Giovanni Leonardi Association, on Sunday, October 26th at 12:30 PM in the rectory, an occasion for the neighborhood families to meet.
