Saint George the Martyr Patronal Feast and the Suppression of the Feudal Lord

The Suppression of the Feudal Lord 2025 took place on Sunday, April 27, in San Giorio di Susa, in the Susa Valley. The day followed the traditional schedule: at 10:30 AM, the procession through the village streets and the Holy Mass in honor of Saint George the Martyr, accompanied by the Spadonari; in the afternoon, at 2:00 PM the gathering of participants and the band, at 2:30 PM the historical pageant, and at 3:30 PM the legendary historical re-enactment at the castle.

The festival, organized by the Pro Loco, the Concordia Philharmonic Society, the Municipality of San Giorio, and the Festa al Castello group, concluded with the descent along Via Parrocchia and the traditional Girunda in Piazza Micellone, confirming the community's strong bond with this over-ninety-year-old re-enactment.
