Saint George the Martyr Festival

On April 23rd, 2025, Sambuca di Sicilia celebrated its co-patron Saint George the Martyr with the traditional religious and popular festival. The celebrations took place starting from the Mother Church, with Holy Mass and the procession of the saint's statue through the streets of the village.

A central moment was the blessing of the fields, an ancient rite linking the saint to the protection of the agricultural territory. A characteristic feature of the edition, as every year, was the zabbinata offered by local cheesemakers. The event, free and open to all, was promoted by the Municipality of Sambuca di Sicilia.
