Edition 2025 — Saint George Festival

In 2025, Pereto once again celebrated its patron saint, Saint George the Martyr, on April 23rd, with traditional religious celebrations organized by the village confraternities. The festival renewed the rites that have marked the day for centuries: Holy Mass in the mother church, the induction of new members, and the procession of the saint's statue through the stone alleys of the historic center in the heart of the Marsica region.

The patronal feast of Saint George the Martyr in Pereto, in 2025, was held on April 23rd, the liturgical day of the saint. The celebrations, organized by the local confraternities of Saint John the Baptist and Our Lady of the Rosary, followed the secular tradition of the village: Holy Mass in the Church of Saint George the Martyr, the mother church of Pereto, the induction of new members, and the procession of the patron's statue through the streets of the historic center.

The festival confirmed the strong bond of the Pereto community (province of L'Aquila, Abruzzo) with its patron saint and with the traditions passed down from generation to generation, in one of the most authentic villages of the Marsica region.
