The Patron Saint's Festival
The Saint George's Festival is the patronal festival of Castelcucco, in the province of Treviso. It is celebrated in April, around the feast day of Saint George (April 23rd), and combines popular devotion with the promotion of the town's musical and natural heritage, located at the foot of Monte Grappa.
Choral Singing and Nature
Among the most characteristic events is the Saint George's Choral Review, held in the parish church with the participation of choirs from different areas, organized by the Coro del Casel. The festival also offers a walk along the ColMuson nature trail, starting from "El Casel", the old dairy now transformed into a museum of rural archaeology, on Via Rù. Along the route, you can stop for lunch at the food and wine stand.
Between Faith and Peasant Memory
The "El Casel" museum is open throughout the event, housing ancient milk processing machinery, a testament to Castelcucco's dairy tradition. The festival is the result of collaboration between the parish, the Coro del Casel, and the Pro Loco Castelcucco, and represents an identity-defining moment for the community of the upper Marca Trevigiana.
