Saint George Patronal Feast (Mercurago)

2025 Edition

The 2025 edition of the Saint George Patronal Feast in Mercurago renewed the community's devotion to its patron saint. The most significant moment was the inauguration of the new icon of Saint George, created by the Orthodox monks of Christ Pantocrator of Arona, intended from that year on to accompany the town procession.

As per tradition, the day featured a solemn mass in the parish church, a procession through the streets of the district with the saint's reliquary arm, musical accompaniment by the band and parish choirs, and moments of conviviality at the oratory. A feast that, year after year, confirms the strong bond between Mercurago and Saint George the Martyr.
