Edition 2025 — Saint George Festival

In 2025, the Saint George Martyr Festival took place from April 23 to 27 in the San Giorgio district of Gioiosa Marea (Messina). Five days of patronal festivities with Holy Masses, musical evenings, shows, and tastings, culminating in the traditional sea procession of the Saint's Portrait and the procession of the statue through the streets of the fishing village.

2025 Edition

The 2025 edition of the Saint George Martyr Festival was held from April 23 to 27 in the San Giorgio district of Gioiosa Marea, in the province of Messina. The community renewed its devotion to its patron saint with a rich calendar of liturgical celebrations and festive moments.

As per tradition, the heart of the festivities was the sea procession of the Portrait of Saint George, accompanied by the procession of the Saint's statue along the village streets. The days alternated between Holy Masses, musical evenings, shows, and Sicilian gastronomic tastings, in an atmosphere of participation that involved residents and visitors alike.
