Saint George Festival and Omelette Festival

The 2025 Saint George Festival in Vieste, Apulia, took place on April 22nd and 23rd with the usual blend of religious rites and secular festivities. On the evening of April 22nd, at Marina Piccola, the concert by Danilo Sacco with the "Colpevole Tour" enlivened the festival, followed at midnight by the pyrotechnic show over the tourist pier.

April 23rd, the heart of the celebration, featured Holy Masses in the Co-Cathedral Basilica and, at 10:00 AM, the procession of the Saint's statue led by the Archbishop through the narrow streets of the historic center, ending at the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie with the launch of the Great Hot Air Balloon and fireworks in honor of the patron saint. In the afternoon, at 6:00 PM, the traditional horse race on the Spiaggia del Castello drew the entire Vieste community, along with the Omelette Festival.
