Edition 2025 — Saint Geminianus
In 2025, Modena also honoured its patron saint Saint Geminianus with an intense day of tradition and sport. The fair animated Piazza Grande, Via Emilia, and the streets of the historic centre, while in the Cathedral, religious celebrations were held with the opening of the Saint's tomb in the crypt.
The sporting heart of the day, the 51st Saint Geminianus Race, attracted nearly 5,000 participants along the 13.350 km route from Viale Berengario to Cognento and back, finishing at Novi Sad Park. Despite the cloudy sky and intermittent rain, the winners were Abdellah Latam among the men and Elisa Palmero among the women, who won in 43'27". Thousands of other runners participated in the non-competitive events and the race for families.
