Saint Gaetano da Thiene Festival (Patronal Feast)

The 2025 edition of the Saint Gaetano da Thiene Festival brought Poggio Mirteto to life from August 1st to 10th, confirming the format that combines the religious calendar with a rich program of evening events in the square. Activities were concentrated in Piazza Martiri della Libertà, with food stalls open every evening and musical performances until late.

The heart of the festival remained the historical procession on August 7th, with the Gonfalone and Misericordia Confraternities, the 'Crocioni', and the saint's gilded wooden statue, followed by the blessing and fireworks display. On August 8th, the traditional fair and, from late afternoon, the night market took place, attracting visitors from across the Lower Sabina every year.

The organization was managed by the Pro Loco of Poggio Mirteto in collaboration with the Municipality and local Confraternities, with free admission to all initiatives.
