Edition 2025 — Saint Dominic in Gorga
2025 Edition
The 2025 edition of the Gorga patronal feast followed the established pattern: religious celebrations on the anniversary of August 8th, the feast of Saint Dominic of Guzmán, and a solemn procession on Saturday, August 9th at 9:00 PM, moved to the following day to allow for wider participation over the weekend.
The starting point was the Church of San Michele Arcangelo, the oldest in the village, overlooking Piazza Giuseppe Mazzini in front of the town hall. From there, the pageant wound its way along the alleys of the historic center, illuminated for the occasion. The festivities continued in the following days with the events of the Gorgan Summer, the summer calendar of the Municipality of Gorga.
The event, free and open to all, was organized by the Pro Loco Gorga and remained one of the most heartfelt moments of gathering for the small community of the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital.
