Saint Dominic Festival

The 2025 edition of the Saint Dominic Festival in Putignano took place from August 5th to 8th. The three days of the triduum accompanied the district community with the Holy Rosary, litanies, and evening Holy Mass in the Church of Saint Dominic.

The most solemn moment was the mass on August 8th, presided over by the bishop of the Diocese of Conversano-Monopoli, Monsignor Giuseppe Favale, followed by the procession of the Saint's statue through the streets of the historic center, with the final return to the church and the tribute to the relic.

On the civil side, Piazza San Domenico hosted a brass band concert, a performance by the "Città dei Trulli" folk group from Alberobello, and evening entertainment, concluded by the drawing of the traditional raffle, the proceeds of which were donated to the church's restoration works.
