Saint Catherine of Alexandria Festival

The 2025 Saint Catherine of Alexandria Festival brought Pedara to life from November 16 to 30, 2025, with a rich calendar of religious and popular events. On Sunday, November 23, the external celebration took place with a morning procession, which departed from the Basilica at 10:00 AM, accompanied by the "Città di Pedara" band. On November 24, the eve of the feast, the theatrical performance "Caterinæ, la Santa nobile", dedicated to the life of the Alexandrian martyr, was staged.

The main day, November 25, featured the solemn evening procession of the statue and relics through the streets of the town, with the participation of parish groups and Confraternities, concluding with a triumphant return to the Basilica and a fireworks display. In the preceding days, there were also moments dedicated to children and catechism students, with floral offerings to the Saint. The festival closed on Sunday, November 30, with the final ceremony.
