Saint Catherine of Alexandria Celebrations - Fera te lu Cappottu and Negroamaro Wine Festival

2025 Edition

The 2025 edition of the Saint Catherine of Alexandria celebrations in Cellino San Marco combined, as per tradition, religious and popular elements. The celebrations opened with the triduum on November 21st, 22nd, and 23rd, and continued on Monday, November 24th, with the solemn Holy Mass and the procession of the saint's statue through the streets of the center. November 25th, the day of Saint Catherine's liturgical feast, completed the devotional period.

Alongside the religious rites, the Negroamaro Wine Festival brought food and wine stands, tastings from the best Apulian wineries, and live music evenings to the squares, celebrating the iconic grape of the Salento region. To close the festivities, on Sunday, November 30th, the Great Fera te lu Cappottu took place: the town streets were filled with stalls selling clothing, footwear, handicrafts, and typical Apulian products, renewing the ancient coat fair and attracting visitors from across the Brindisi and Salento area.
