2025 Saint Catherine Festival
The 2025 edition of the patronal feast of San Pietro Clarenza took place on November 25th, in the heart of the Etna autumn. As per custom, the festivities were preceded by the novena and the triduum of preparation, and by the evocative unveiling of the 17th-century statue of Saint Catherine, housed in the town's Mother Church.
The day of the festival opened with the festive ringing of bells and cannon fire, while the brass band enlivened the streets of the village. After the solemn Eucharistic celebration, the most anticipated moment was the exit of the Saint's fercolo, welcomed on the churchyard by fireworks, followed by the procession that crossed the main streets of the town on the slopes of Mount Etna, in the province of Catania.
