Edition 2025 — Saint Blaise

In 2025, the Saint Blaise Festival in Castel Sant'Angelo took place from February 1st to 9th, with the main events occurring on Sunday, February 9th. The community celebrated its patron saint with a solemn procession, a Eucharistic celebration, and the traditional floral carpet that colored the village streets.

Saint Blaise Festival 2025

The 2025 edition of the Saint Blaise Festival in Castel Sant'Angelo (Rieti, Lazio) took place from February 1st to 9th, culminating on Sunday, February 9th. The morning began at 9:30 AM with the procession which, starting from the Town Hall, wound through the village streets in a long parade led by the statue of the patron saint and enlivened by the Castel Sant'Angelo Alpine Band. At 11:30 AM, the Eucharistic celebration was held, serving as the spiritual heart of the day.

The festival was made even more evocative by the traditional infiorata, with carpets of petals laid out along the procession route. The devotion to Saint Blaise, protector of the throat, was also renewed through the ritual of the blessing with crossed candles, confirming the community's strong bond with its saint, whose relics are kept in the Church of San Biagio in Canetra.
