Saint Blaise Festival

The 2025 edition of the Saint Blaise Festival took place on Monday, February 3rd, in Anguillara Sabazia, on Lake Bracciano. The patron saint's feast day was also recognized at the civil level, with the suspension of school activities on the day dedicated to the saint.

The community followed the usual rite: the procession with the statue of Saint Blaise, which started from the Church of Saint Blaise and wound through the streets of the historic center, accompanied by the town band and folk group, up to the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria Assunta. There, the solemn Mass was followed by the traditional blessing of the throat, performed by crossing two candles, a gesture linked to Saint Blaise's patronage as protector of the throat.
