Saint Benedict the Abbot Festival

The 2025 edition of the Saint Benedict the Abbot Festival took place in Militello in Val di Catania from July 2nd to 11th, following the traditional calendar. The days featured a rotation of masses, triduums, and prayer sessions in the Baroque Church of San Benedetto, the spiritual hub of local worship. The festival concluded on July 11th, the saint's liturgical day, with the solemn procession of the statue accompanied by a brass band and the enthusiastic participation of the community, in one of the UNESCO-listed Baroque towns of the Val di Noto, in the province of Catania.
