Edition 2025 — Saint Bartholomew
The 2025 edition of the Saint Bartholomew Festival took place on Sunday, August 24, 2025, in Lampedusa (Municipality of Lampedusa and Linosa, Province of Agrigento). As per tradition, the island came to a standstill to honor its patron saint in a large popular festival that extended from morning until night.
The program combined the spiritual and festive dimensions: Solemn Holy Mass, procession with the saint's statue through the main streets of the island accompanied by confraternities, the faithful, and a marching band, religious chants, and prayers. Throughout the day, there were characteristic bonfires around wooden pyramids, live musical shows, folk entertainment, and food stands with typical Lampedusan dishes. The evening concluded with fireworks over the sea, admired from the harbor.
