Edition 2025 — Saint Anthony the Abbot Castell'Azzara

In 2025, Castell'Azzara and its hamlets once again celebrated Saint Anthony the Abbot around January 17th, with the blessing of the animals and holy masses in local churches. An event that, as every year, brought the Mount Amiata community together in the spirit of rural tradition and devotion to the patron saint of animals.

The 2025 edition of the Saint Anthony the Abbot Festival in Castell'Azzara renewed the tradition of the blessing of the animals and holy masses in the main town and the hamlets of Montevitozzo, Selvena, and Villa Sforzesca. Promoted by the parish community, the festival confirmed the strong bond of the Amiata territory with the cult of Saint Anthony the Abbot, protector of animals and agriculture.

Between faith, rural tradition, and local spirit, the celebration represented, in 2025 as well, one of the most heartfelt moments of the winter in Castell'Azzara.
