Saint Anthony of Padua Festival (Orte Scalo)

The 2025 edition in Orte Scalo

In June 2025, the village of Orte Scalo, in the municipality of Orte in the province of Viterbo, renewed its appointment with the feast of its patron saint, Saint Anthony of Padua. The structure of the festival is the one consolidated over decades: a few days of spiritual preparation in the Church of Saint Anthony, the solemn procession accompanied by the «Città di Orte» Marching Band, fireworks, and the Solemn Holy Mass on June 13 with the distribution of blessed bread.

Surrounding the religious core were the usual evening entertainment shows in Piazza Papa Giovanni XXIII, children's activities, sports tournaments, and the food stall managed by committee volunteers, serving traditional Tuscia dishes at popular prices. All events were free of charge.

The handover at the end of the festival entrusted the organization of the following year to the Class of 1985, who subsequently led the 2026 edition.
