Edition 2025 — Saint Anthony Abbot Feast

In January 2025, Calasca-Castiglione once again celebrated its patron saint, Saint Anthony Abbot, in the Cathedral in the Woods of Antrogna. The festival renewed the tradition of the friars, the procession with sleds and baskets, the animal blessing, and the charity auction, confirming the vitality of one of the most heartfelt winter events in the Anzasca Valley.

2025 Edition

In January 2025, around the 17th, the community of Calasca-Castiglione gathered in the parish church of Saint Anthony Abbot, in the hamlet of Antrogna, for the patron saint's feast. The procession of friars and little friars brought gifts to the Cathedral in the Woods on sleds, baskets, and panniers, following a custom passed down through generations. Inside the church, the decorated fir tree was laden with gifts, which were then auctioned off for the parish, while the village animals received their blessing. A simple and authentic mountain festival that opens the calendar of events in the Anzasca Valley every year.
