The 2025 edition of the Saint Anthony Games

The 2025 edition of the Saint Anthony Abbot Games took place on Sunday, January 19, 2025, in Piazza Sant'Anna, in Ciciliano, with registration collected in the square from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM and games following in the afternoon. The day, organized by the Ciciliano Pro Loco chaired by Roberto De Luca, featured the classic traditional challenges: tug-of-war, sack races, egg-and-spoon races, the scocciapigna, the spaghetti-eating contest, and the Palio della Cuccagna in the playground area.

Winners received local gastronomic prizes—hams, cured pork loins, sausages, and crates of beer—while children up to thirteen years old had games designed specifically for them. The festival concluded with the procession and blessing dedicated to Saint Anthony Abbot, in an atmosphere of great participation from the Ciciliano community.
