Edition 2025 — Saint Anthony Abbot

The 2025 edition of the Saint Anthony Abbot Festival in Ortona dei Marsi celebrated the patron saint of animals on January 17th, as per tradition. In the Marsican village, the rites of rural devotion were renewed: solemn mass, the blessing of vehicles and animals, and popular festivities in the Sant'Antonio district.

In January 2025, Ortona dei Marsi renewed the Saint Anthony Abbot Festival, a traditional recurrence linked to the 18th-century church dedicated to the saint. As in previous editions, the community participated in holy mass, the blessing of vehicles, and the evocative blessing of animals in the Sant'Antonio district, accompanied by brass band music and convivial moments with local products. The festival confirmed the village's strong bond with the protector of the rural world and its own farming roots.
