Edition 2025 — Saint Anthony Abbot
2025 Edition
In January 2025, the Circolo Sant'Antonio Abate, with the patronage of the Municipality of Monte Compatri, brought back the festival in its traditional form. On Friday, January 17th, the Saint's day, the polenta feast in Piazza Garibaldi opened the festivities at 7:00 PM, following the mass and procession with the social flag.
On Sunday, January 19th, the solemn mass in the Cathedral at 10:30 AM preceded the descent toward the Passeggiata, where allegorical floats featuring children and inspired by the Saint's life were waiting. The procession then reached Piazza Marco Mastrofini for the blessing of the animals at 12:30 PM. At the end of the morning, the Circolo and the Pro Loco Monte Compatri 2000 distributed local products; at 6:00 PM, the fireworks display closed the day. Local reports recorded a very large turnout, with students, the Corpo Folkloristico Musicale Compatrum, and numerous local associations participating.
