Saint Anthony Abbot Festival

The 2025 Saint Anthony Abbot Festival in Magliano Romano was held on Sunday, January 19, the third Sunday of the month, starting at 10:30 AM in the Piazza Risorgimento area.

The two central moments of the day were the lighting of the large bonfire in honor of the saint and the blessing of the animals, which brought families with dogs, cats, and farm animals to the square, in accordance with a rural tradition still deeply rooted in the Roman countryside. Beside the fire, Pro Loco volunteers managed the food stand, where porchetta, wine, and traditional dishes were served.

In 2025, Magliano Romano was once again part of the network of valley towns that light Saint Anthony's fires in mid-January, confirming the festival as one of the most attended winter events in the village.
