Edition 2025 — The Cuttore of Collelongo

In January 2025, Collelongo once again renewed the ancient rite of Saint Anthony Abbot and the Cuttore. On January 16th and 17th, the historic center came alive with copper cauldrons, free cicerocchi, torches lit in the squares, the procession, fireworks, and the traditional parade of the Conche Rescagnate.

The 2025 edition of the Saint Anthony Abbot Festival and the Cuttore took place as scheduled on January 16th and 17th in Collelongo, in the Marsica area of L'Aquila. The community set up the Cuttore in the historic center, cooking cicerocchi in large copper cauldrons and offering them for free to the faithful and visitors.

As per tradition, the torches were lit on the evening of January 16th, followed by the fireworks display, while the parade of the Conche Rescagnate, the blessing of animals, and traditional games took place on January 17th, confirming the vitality of a rite that unites faith, identity, and conviviality.
