Edition 2025 — Saint Ambrose

In 2025, Milan also celebrated its patron saint, Saint Ambrose, on December 7th, with a solemn mass in the basilica, the Premiere at the Teatro alla Scala opening the opera season, the awarding of the Ambrogini d'Oro, and the 'Oh Bej! Oh Bej!' fair around Sforza Castle.

The 2025 edition of the Festival of Saint Ambrose confirmed the rich blend of celebrations that characterizes Milan's December 7th: the religious dimension of the mass in the Basilica of Saint Ambrose, the cultural aspect of the Premiere at the Teatro alla Scala, and the civic dimension of the Ambrogini d'Oro awards.

As every year, the lighting of the Christmas tree in Piazza Duomo and the 'Oh Bej! Oh Bej!' fair at Sforza Castle opened the city's Christmas atmosphere, on a day deeply symbolic for Milanese citizens.
